artist: playgroup genre: electroclash
well another old track, but i like it. this here is the instrumental.
artist: burial genre: grime 2step
off the newish Untrue. so a jungalist vsti bassline, 2 step garage break, played pitch bent vocals and moving low pass filtered pads.
this stuff is great, it is kinda hard to think that 90s will soon be retro (they may even be now as i type).

artist: trentemoller genre: techno
nosiy remix of african people, underworld fans will appreciate if trentemoller is unknown to ya.
artist: morgan geist genre: good
about so ten years ago this album was made, it sounds cutting edge to me today. quite unbelievable how good it is. this is a great precursor to all the minimal, idm, micro, melodic techno we are hearing nowadays. i would post the entire thing but i’ll let you get it at emusic on your own, it is a theme album and is meant to be heard as a whole (i attest to that). every track is an education and joy.
this is the first track off the Driving Memoirs, breaking it up seams a crime.
ok maybe i’ll do the first two tracks…
also my new favorite death metal band is Torture Killer. Forever dead is super great. i need to start a real metal blog.
artist: gregor treshor genre: minimal techno
i just read this interesting article on which i share a perspective, being that blogs are the next social network (at least for those who are active electronically). passives will continue to utilize myspace and facebook. long story short: being more in control of your online destiny is much more attractive than to being bombarded by porn ads on Rupert Murdoch’s site, no offense intended. also i can post more than five tracks…
Everyone’s favorite freak, DJ Dirk Diggla will be killin it softly at Karma Lounge (119 W. 8th St) from 10PM-2AM Friday Dec 14th!

artist: cornelius genre: pop
just heard “music” on dirty radio, thought i’d post this older track. john and i were just talking about this great producer. just wait for it to kick it, its worth it.
artist: xiu xiu genre: experimental noisy pop
i’m going out on a limb here but if AMODA can host them then technically it is more electronic than indie rock. right?
well there is a drum machine and cheap sounding synths and i like it and so it goes.
artist: sharon phillips genre: early morning techno
retarded. yeah, all her stuff doesn’t sound like this. too bad. this mix most definitely reminds me of the northeast. if you don’t like it this is the wrong blog for you.

the set should be “interesting”.
I just realized EA and Gomi are doing the Beauty Bar thing on the same night.
artist N.E.R.D. vs DFA genre: hip hop disco rock
yeah, i yanked this from the Covert Curiosity austin blog sampler. The actual submitter was another austin blog Party Ends!.
DFA is always good, a modern wax trax in a lot of ways. Only not as angry.
artist junior boys genre: synth pop
i was fortunate to see them do this one in montreal. they have so many good songs, i recommend everything they touch.
