artist: trash fashion genre: electro rave clash
it is pretty obnoxious but here ya go. oh yeah, this is from a batch of stuff gomi dropped off. next up is the never ending story rmx.
so i consider myself knowledgeable of shit right. how come i don’t know about these two?
thanks go out to cubik musik, his blog is serious, he updates frequently.
i’ve come to decide that there is no way that anyone can keep up with all the stuff going on, i guess that is why we started this blog.
anyway, these two chicks are from austin/wimberley. john, we need to have em play at a party with cylon rock.
if you like progressive, then you’ll be in heaven. i see miguel migs is coming too (house), i recommend him.
sky lounge is not a large venue, which is good IMHO.

cool looking site based my companies keyboards.
and here is our site: open labs
AND i’ve decide to turn auto play on, bitch if you hate that. if not, it stays.
“tis better to force your way than to ask” - unknown head in frozen lake
artist: mc 900 ft jesus genre: chill hip trip hop
i always liked this one, still enjoy myself when i hear it out (which is rare).
artist: dj hell genre: electro clash house techno industrial cleaner

he’s been around the block a couple times. NY Muscle is an interesting listen. yeah, this is old but i want to get stuff up to the radio too.
my midnight auto update script seems to have wiped out the playlist for the radio, for the time being everytime you load the page it will directly hit the database. in other words, it should work.
also i’ve noticed that this player (among all other flash players) may stop playing if it loses focus. usually this is not the case. i believe there is a rogue web application out there that is fucking it up. shut down some sites and try again.
the only big quirk is everytime you load a page you get a reload. so usually i’ll read the page and then hit play on the radio. enjoy! i’m listening to it now!
joel
so you may notice the winamp like thing in the corner over there.
i’m pretty proud of it, it is a poor man’s flash radio. with out getting too technical, it basically gets a list of the mp3s posted to this site and puts them into a large playlist.
the player will is set to auto-shuffle, so you can listen to it in theory like a real radio. there is actually about 100 songs and mixes up there today, that should keep you satisfied. sick of a song? just scroll forward to the next and it will keep going.
i wish the real radio worked that way. yes this is inspired by lastFM and pandora, but instead we force our music taste on you!
no work by the posters is required, it scans the wordpress database and generates a new list every night.
votes to start it up automatically on page load or not?
enjoy it, i spent my weekend doing php and mysql, but i guess i wouldn’t have it any other way.
i no longer need to dj, all the shit i like is up here! yeah!
report dead link, i’ll prune the tree
arist: richard davis genre: synth pop house detuned
more richard davis, this entire album is worth a listen.
also today i’ve been listening to the kate bush-ites (bands that really really really like kate bush) and Zeigeist seems to stick out.
their theatrics are pretty interesting, worth a look at even if you can’t get past the obvious eighties and ABBAisms.
tar heart is my pick.
actually just go to their site and watch the live video.
artist: plej genre: non-angry house
hailing from somewhere close to odin land. plej.
working on getting a shuffle flash radio type thing up for this. anybody have any good suggestions. i’m leaning toward wimpy. all i really need is a php or python script to auto generate the xspf files from the archives.
the Taragana’s Del.icio.us mp3 Player Plugin looks better and is better.
it will automatically scan for any hyperlinks to mp3s and make a player, it also expose the direct link.
no more fucking around with special tags if you don’t want too.
keep in mind the old plugin is still there, use if you still want it.

Dominique Keegan and Glen Brady (DJ Wool) are The Glass.
These boys stay pretty busy with remixes and their new EP Couples Therapy which drops this Tuesday, Sept 25th on Plant Music on CD and digital..
theGlass - Fourteen Again
Shitake Monkey - Im Gonna Take You Home (the Glass rmx)
120 Days - Sleepwalking (the Glass rmx)
More tracks on their myspace
artist: paul jackson genre: electro-house
ripped cd from gomi, no idea what track names are but it sounds good.
if you feel so inclined here is his myspace
i think i picked the track most unlikely track that john would spin.
artist: mark broom genre: techno

he is a fantastic putter, oh how i miss the golfing shores of dover.
it should be noted that he is part of the 5 Mic Cluster
Kusser - Pop Song (featuring Jenn from STHIL)
accompanying video is purely eye candy to pass the time while you hear the song
artist: tom burbank genre: dirty south glitch hop

no excuse, found this on dirty radio. listen to dirty radio. listen to dirty radio. listen to dirty radio.
oh yeah, Gomi and co at plush tonight.
good long post fred
i have a hard time with Kayne West sampling Daft Punk sampling Edwin Birdsong. it has been xeroxed so many times that it sounds like a brown ink blot. its a hard knocks life!
whenever i think about it i always just listen to Atari Teenage Riot:
i said i’d never post black metal. this is will never happen again. technically they use lots of keyboards (being a black metal band) but never again will i do this to you. never. this is not funny. i really like this stuff. really.
“Finntroll is a folk metal band from Finland. They combine black metal and Finnish polka, called humppa. Finntroll’s lyrics are in Swedish, one of Finland’s two national languages, because “Swedish just sounds damn trollish”, according to the band’s first vocalist, Katla (whose native language is Swedish). Finntroll means “Troll from Finland” or “a spotty troll” since the word for spot (acne) and a finnish person are the same in Swedish.” - Wikipedia
Okay. This is all just my opinion, but that’s what blogs are about , right?
I’ve listened to both albums over the last few days and I think Fiddy’s solo career is over.
Kanye will outsell 50 Cent.
I actually like Fiddy’s album better.
It will do better in the Hood, but Kanye will reach to the masses. You can break these two down in more ways than one:
Mainstream vs Genre
Sample based music vs Beats from scratch
Safe to average america vs american nightmare.
With Kanye’s record, Graduation, you have a record yer mom could buy. That “Stronger” Daft Punk single is just a bit much….I like me some Daft Punk, but that track is like overcooking a good piece of tuna. The Billy Joel of rap. But I like me some Billy Joel , too…
At least with 50 Cent’s “I’ll Still Kill” , that’s something you can bump going down the block. But the lycrical content has become as cartoonishly overblown as Heavy Metal lyrics
Graduation has clever word play, enlightened samples but plays like a comedy album. A couple of spins and i get the joke. No need to listen to it again
Curtis got raw beats that just pump. Nice mastering.
A night at home with the girl , I’d play Graduation.
A night out with the boys wreckin the town, I want to hear the first half of Curtis.
Both albums have nice use of squizzlly synth sounds.
No matter who sells more, Timbaland will win. He’s got a song on each of the albums.
He did production work for “Good Life” and “Ayo Technology”.
Most people will eventually get both albums just so they can compare.
And that kinda is their point in this marketing strategy
(they are under the same parent company)
Kanye West - Big Brother
50 Cent - I’ll Still Kill
artist: UnknownmiX genre: blueglass
it is cow how now brown underwear.
non-monophonic basslines are overrated.
ok, i said no jam tomorrow. i was wrong gomi is pushing forward.
i’ll be there. parking will be insane, i’m gonna break down and pay.

“This occasion will also be commemorated with a memorial monolith in black
basalt that will be erected in the middle of 7th and Red River. The
inscription, “What the fuck are you looking at?” along with my name,
likeness, and birthdate, as well as the date of my set, will be emblazoned
in gold-leaf by artisans imported from China (who will then be slain so they
may never reproduce the work again). You are welcome to light incense,
abase yourself in awe before it’s magnificence, leave money nearby, and
generally worship whenever the inclination takes you, but I recommend you do
it in the early hours, as I could not arrange with the City of Austin for
this area to be closed to traffic.”
- I’ll be there with my field recorder.
My Radio - close myspace, it sucks the life out of me. no really.
